Holism: "The paradigm of inter-connectedness and relationship in all things."

We are committed to a holistic philosophy of healing that encompasses the physical, emotional, mental, psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions of health. At the heart of integrated, holistic, ecological medicine are four key concepts that serve as guiding principles for clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, as well as for development of clinical research strategies and statistical analyses. These concepts are:

      • Individual Uniqueness
      • Health as Positive Vitality
      • Holodynamic Adaptability
      • Quantum Electrodynamics

Individual Uniqueness ~ Biochemical, Emotional, Genetic, & Electrodynamic Individuality
The central tenet of holistic medicine postulates that each individual has a unique make-up that characterizes not only voluntary activities such as decision-making, personality development, and emotional responses, but also involuntary activities like metabolism of nutrients, cellular processing of information, and communication among various organ systems. Human beings exist at varying degrees of health or disease in their emotional, mental, physical, spiritual, and social makeup. All aspects of medical practice and research, including clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, are restructured in a holistic medicine approach based upon individual expression in biochemistry, genetics, emotional responsibility, electrodynamic processing, etc.

Health as Positive Vitality ~ Life Consciousness
A second tenet of holistic biodynamic medicine is that health is characterized not primarily by the absence of disease, but rather by the presence of a positive vitality unique to the individual and his or her lifetime experience. This reconceptualization of health brings with it a new set of assessment tools quantifying individual well-being and evaluating physiological, cognitive/emotional, and physical function in their relationship to individual vitality. From the holistic standpoint, a healthcare practitioner cannot focus his or her attention solely upon a patient's chief complaints, history of illness, or current stresses and disease states. The practitioner must also investigate the patient's history of wellness. The practitioner must also find out about future circumstances under which the patient can imagine feeling truly well. Discovery through this type of inquiry, will reveal the level of the patient's emotional/psycho-spiritual maturity and development. Along these same lines, a holistic approach would insist that alleviation of symptoms and prevention of illness are not sufficient goals in the practice of medicine. Medical goals must also include support of vitality and wellness in the patient's overall life experience.

Holodynamic Adaptability ~ Health as Holodynamic vs. Homeostatic
The third tenet of holistic medicine has its counterpart in the widely applied conventional concept of homeostasis. While homeostasis posits a control system of interconnected components that function to keep a physical or chemical parameter of the body relatively constant, holodynamics asserts a similar type of control system that functions to maintain not physio-chemical constancy, but biochemical flexibility. The term holodynamic is used in holistic, functional medicine to describe a wide range of metabolic, emotional, and physiologic activities that continuously occur in the body and are responsible for each individual's ability to adapt to changing circumstances, stresses, and experiences. The holodynamics of a person's health works behind the scenes, constantly enabling that person to act as a unique individual expression. Supporting health at a holodynamic level may mean focusing attention on cellular processes or organ function or emotional counseling at points that, at first glance, may seem quite distant from the site of the patient's discomfort and in ways that may seem conceptually far-removed from the practitioner's understanding of that discomfort.

Quantum Electrodynamics & Underlying Consciousness
A fourth tenet in the holistic paradigm has to do with the underlying consciousness behind all physical manifestation. The study of quantum physics, particularly in the areas of quantum electrodynamics has led us to the scientific basis. for what mystics have always assumed: that all physical manifestation has its birth in consciousness. It is in this area that we find the promise of personal spiritual evolution as a technology and its ensuing capabilities to produce change of the highest order in our personal environment, our physiology, our empowered living, thereby affecting the field of mass consciousness to enable an outcome of upliftment on both personal and global scales.
