One of the primary intentions of The World Institute of Holistic Therapies, Inc. (a local non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, founded in 1997) is to educate health care providers and the general public about Biological Medicine and Pleomorphism. We were excited and proud to be able to sponsor, in partnership with Holger Natural Immune Systems (N.I.S.), the Third International Symposium on Pleomorphic Microbes in Health and Disease on Friday and Saturday, March 15th & 16th, 2002 in Ashland, Oregon.
The Third International Symposium on Pleomorphic Microbes in Health & Disease was a unique scientific event. Such a gathering of professionals, devoted to providing a forum for vital exchange of information in the field of Biological Medicine, fill the need in our society for unfettered intellectual and clinical exploration that moves outside the bounds of traditional exploration. The Symposium provided a safe place for researchers and practitioners to gather and connect for the purpose of discovering commonalities in theoretical and philosophical approaches to health and disease.
This annual symposium provided a small, but international forum for discussion of current research in pleomorphic biology. The study of Pleomorphism (the ability of some microorganisms to change their biological form in response to environmental challenges and opportunities) will facilitate a deeper understanding of the circumstances of health and disease in the body. This is not a new area for investigation rather inquiry into this field has been effectively diminished through the efforts of the pharmaceutical industry.
This area of study and treatment is reemerging because it holds promising answers to health conditions that have not been met effectively through conventional medicine, and because the scientific basis of this wisdom is very solid.
Dr. Gitte Jensen, a prominent medical researcher, is so committed to this work that she (through Holger N.I.S.) personally subsidized a great deal of the expense to bring the First International Symposium into being at the prestigious McGill University in Montreal, Canada in June of 1999. In the Spring of 2002, World Institute joined with Dr. Jensen to bring researchers together from around the world to share their research findings, and the implications of those findings upon further research, education, and investigation into the science of pleomorphic biology.
